Hi. Welcome to my site. It seems that every Tom, Dick, and Harry has a web site nowadays so I figured I should have one too. The problem was that I had no idea what I would have on my site. Then one day it dawned on me to make it about something that I know and am good at. Math.
I've always been good at playing with numbers in my head so I figured I could do a site showing people how to do simple little adding and multiplying in their head. It will come in handy at the grocery or department store. There has been the odd occasion when I've had to tell the cashier how much change I was to get back because there was a problem with the cash register.
Now I know how most people feel about math. I used to be the same when I was younger then one day I just found myself calculating things in my head. Sometimes I would be listening to the radio or watching the news and someone would mention a year that something happened or how long some company has been in business and right away I would just start calculating in my head how many years it's been that the something happened or when the company started out. Now you're probably thinking that I should get a life. Sometimes I think that too.
Right now the site is in its infant stages so there's not a whole lot of content right now(I have a day job). Hopefully when you come back you will be able to see some improvements. Eventually I plan to have menu options for other stuff(not sure what that "stuff" will be yet). So just click around for a while. You might actually find some of what I teach fun. Maybe you'll find yourself playing with numbers in your head too after a few visits and when someone tells you to get a life you can blame me.
For some examples I show different methods of doing it just to show that there's more than one way to do something and get the same result. There are also not as many examples as I would like right now because I just want to get the site up and going. I'll comeback later and show you more examples. Even this page will be updated occasionally as the site develops.
Now about the name "Pixel Diary". When I registered the name it was with the intention of having a blog. Since a blog is somewhat like a diary and it's on a computer with a screen that's made up of tiny dots called Pixels, that name popped into my head. I was actually surprised that it wasn't taken already.
I've tried to check over everything before putting it onlne. However if you do spot any mathematical or
